Key Rules
1 The Serve
No overhead serves in TYPTI. Serve underhand to start each point, similar to pickleball. This makes the game accessible and puts emphasis on rally play rather than serve dominance.
2 The 43° Bounce
The TYPTI ball bounces at a 43° angle compared to pickleball's 13° and tennis's 25°. This creates 300% more bounce ascent, leading to extended baseline rallies and more dynamic gameplay.
3 Net Rebound Rule
This is unique to TYPTI: if the ball hits the net and rebounds back to your side, you can keep it in play using any body part except the string bed of your racket. Head, chest, hand — all legal!
4 "The Stakes" Scoring
TYPTI uses a unique scoring system called "The Stakes" — a risk/reward format that differs from traditional tennis or pickleball scoring. This adds strategic depth to every point.
